Field Service Engineer - Uk & Europe at Fluidic Analytics

As Field Service Engineer you will be the technical face of the company; improving customer experience by providing on-site service support for installations, troubleshooting, repairs and planned maintenance. Working closely with your customer service and field applications colleagues to provide excellent technical support of our protein analysis systems to UK and European customers at point of, and post sale.

This role is an opportunity for the right candidate to develop, grow and potentially lead the field service and support department

 

Responsibilities will include;

  • Conduct installation of equipment and perform site acceptance tests
  • Perform scheduled maintenance/ calibration visits
  • Perform IQ/ OQ/ PQ including sample validation and analysis
  • Diagnose and solve technical instrument problems
  • Complete administrative documentation including Time reports, Expense Reports, Service Agreement Quotations, Equipment Checklists and Service Reports
  • Manage service parts inventory levels
  • Maintain up to date customer information, technical files and appropriate databases
  • Provide feedback to development and commercial teams on design issues
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationship
  • Up to 80% travel is required

 

To succeed in this role, you will;

  • Hold an HND or above in mechanical or electrical engineering or other relevant technical discipline
  • Demonstrate solid experience in servicing and supporting scientific/ industrial products in the field
  • Happily travel abroad frequently, potentially at short notice
  • Work autonomously as part of a remote team
  • Be willing to spend the first 2 months with us here at our Cambridge office
  • Demonstrate excellent technical communication and customer facing skills with an independent, methodical and precise approach to your work
  • Hold a full driving license
  • Ideally have experience in the biotechnology/ biomedical industry and/ or be working with fluidic/ opto-mechanical systems
