Partner Marketing Manager at Exonar
Reading, GB

About the role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working and personally ambitious partner marketing manager, to coincide with a dramatic increase in focus on growth through partner channels at Exonar.  Our growth plan models two-thirds of 2021 customer acquisition being through-partners rather than direct, increasing to 75% in 2022.  To achieve that we need to kick-start our first partner programme, with partner materials, joint proposition development and co-marketing investment and activity.

We need someone with experience of partner marketing in the technology sector, who understands how to help onboard, motivate and drive performance of partners through a joint marketing plan and activities to support the partner sales teams.  As a scale-up business with exciting tech, you’ll have huge freedom to define what you need and budget to back you up and make partners successful.

This role will manage and activate our first four reseller partners through 2021, working with them to grow a trusting and mutually successful relationship, through which we can build sales performance. The role will be well supported in the marketing team and everyone else within Exonar, working closely with the incoming VP Channel within Exonar, as well as daily contact with partner marketing and sales teams.

About you

You are likely to have worked at a software or technology vendor, very likely in a partner-facing role, for a few years.  You will have learnt what works and what doesn’t with partners, and be ready to bring that knowledge into a brand-new partner programme.  You’re likely to relish the opportunity to help build the perfect technology partner programme from scratch, so that Exonar becomes the best tech vendor to work with.

Given our role is to co-market with partners, you’ll be hungry to learn and grow as a marketer across all of the relevant disciplines and your aspiration might be to lead a marketing organisation in the future.  You’ll be an organised and methodical person with excellent relationship and communication skills, leading successful marketing relationships with partners, represents the partner within Exonar, delivering what is required to get the job done to time and quality.

The successful candidate

We’re looking for a very specific set of competencies that the successful candidate is likely to possess, with demonstrable experience as follows:

Partner and Customer focus You’ll be able to think like our customers think, and know exactly how sales and marketing teams in partners operate too!
Relationship Builder You’ll have the ability to build productive relationships that deliver results, making partners successful.
Communicating in writing The ability to structure stories and express yourself and the Exonar brand well in writing (e.g. customer emails, social posts)
Results oriented The enjoyment and satisfaction of delivering real measurable results, driven to deliver value, even if it’s not the perfect solution first time around.
Creative problem solving Able to use creativity to express ideas or concepts to others, or influence customers and partners in new ways
Prioritisation & Organisation Ability to self-organise and prioritise time to track activities, meet delivery timescales, to get the best job done

More general attributes of our team members include a positive attitude, an interest in technology and an eagerness to learn and grow as a person.
